Since we didn't need the touch screen features of Windows 7 for our day-to-day use of computers, we wanted a way to disable it. We couldn't find a way to do it in Windows Help, but it's pretty simple.
- Click Start -> in the Search box type: "Pen and Touch"
- Click "Touch" tab no top
- Disable checkbox for "User your finger as an input device"
That's it. Touch should be disabled. Try poking your finger on the screen to test. :)
Tip: Try disabling other devices in your laptop or computer that you don't regularly use. This should free up some resources (memory and processes) for your core applications. For example, we disabled bio-metric sensor web cam and phone modem.
