1. You need an FTP client software to upload your digital files to your server. We recommend either of the following FTP software. So go ahead and download CuteFTP Pro or the FileZilla. Cute FTP Pro also has a trial version in case you are interested to try before buying. a. Cute FTP Pro (commercial software): extremely robust and proven You can download from the following location: http://www.cuteftp.com/downloads/cuteftppro.aspx b. FileZilla (free software): popular, open-source and constantly updated Download the latest stable from here: http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client Make sure you download the FileZilla client version and not the server version. After you download, run the installer to setup the software. 2. Setup your server configuration in CuteFTP or Filezilla. a. Keep your FTP login details handy: Username: username {your ftp username} Password: ******** {your ftp password} FTP Host: example.com {your site domain - don't include http:// or www} b. In CuteFTP, click File -> New -> FTP Site. Then fill in the details from step 2.a above.
c. In Filezilla, click File -> Site Manager -> New Site. Fill in details from step 2.a above.
